Arnold Salas, Ph.D.

Co-founder and CIO

Arnold is the Chief Investment Officer of QA Capital LLC, heading the firm’s investment-strategy research and development. Arnold has a track record developing and implementing state-of-the-art artificial intelligence and machine learning algorithms to discover potential sources of alpha in public markets. Prior to co-founding QA Capital, Arnold brought these systems to fruition within his own quantitative trading firm, Autarky.ai, where he deployed strategies in futures and digital assets. Additionally, Arnold has held positions at Tudor Investment Corporation, Cubist / Point72, and Merrill Lynch. Arnold earned his Ph.D. in Machine Learning from the University of Oxford. He also holds a Master’s degree in quantitative finance with highest honors from the Toulouse School of Economics (France), and a B.Sc. in Economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science (UK).
